collection is approved through 12/31/93. Burden will be assigned at
the time the final rule is issued. In the next paperwork submission
(which should be when the final rule is issued), HUD will clearly
identify and explain any and all changes made in response to public
comment. Also, HUD should reexamine its burden estimate for
accuracy.

THIS RULE PROPOSES TO AMEND 24 CFR
PART 3500, THE IMPLEMENTING REGULATIONS FOR RESPA, TO REFLECT
AMENDMENTS TO RESPA IN THE HOUSING AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT ACT OF
1992, WHICH ADDS A NEW CLASS OF COVERED TRANSACTION: SUBORDINATE
MORTGAGES, AND PROPOSES A NEW SETTLEMENT STATEMENT (HUD
1A).
On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that
the collection of information encompassed by this request complies
