Abstract: THIS SURVEY IS NEEDED TO UPDATE DATA USED IN USDA'S SWEETENERS RESEARC PROGRAM, PROVIDE COSTS OF PRODUCING AND PROCESSING SURGAR CROPS TO CONGRESS, GOVERNMENT AGENCIES, AND PRIVATE TRADE GROUPS, SUPPORT STAFF AND POLICY ANALYSES, AND TO EVALUATE THE ECONOMIC WELL-BEING OF DOMEST SUGAR PRODUCERS AND PROCESSORS.
