This information
collection is approved through 2-94 under the following condition:
The Agency will initiate the previously planned improvements to
this form which address the problems found in the collection by the
General Accounting Office, the HHS-Medicaid Taskforce and by the
Medicaid Bureau itself. Given the need for quality, detailed
statistical reporting to assess the extent to which Medicaid is
presently meeting the needs of the population, OMB does not agree
that HCFA should wait for potential changes by Health Care Reform.
Even with the possibility of health reform, decisionmakers will
need better data to create an accurate baseline to support
historical analysis; and to develop accurate budget estimates.
