Abstract: THE FEDERAL MINE SAFETY AND HEALTH ACT OF 1977 STATES THAT SAMPLING EQUIPMENT USED MUST BE APPROVED BY THE SECRETARIES OF THE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICES (DHHS) AND THE DEPARTMENT OF LABOR (DOL).
