Abstract: OTS COLLECTS FINANCIAL DATA FROM INSURED INSTITUTIONS AND THEIR SUBSIDIARIES IN ORDER TO ASSURE THEIR SAFETY AND SOUNDNESS AS DEPOSITORIES OF THE PERSONAL SAVINGS OF THE GENERAL PUBLIC. THE OTS MONITORS TRENDS IN FINANCIAL POSITIONS SO THAT ADVERSE CONDITIONS CAN REMINDED PROMPTLY. THE RESPONDENTS ARE PRIMARILY SAVINGS ASSOCIATIONS
