Terms of Clearance: Approved as amended by ED's memoranda to OMB of 8/30/93 and 9/2/93. I addition, ED has agreed to the following conditions: -- In the preogram description, ED will consult Treasury to provide students with accurate information on the "maximum legal prevailing rate" of interest, which must be paid if students enter repayment in lieu of the service requirement. -- ED shall revise Item 6 of the Information Form to read, "The highes score ever received on the mathematics portion of the ACT, and the corresponding scores on the other individual parts of the same examination", to clarify exactly which scores students are to report. -- ED shall clarify that students are to report college address in Ite 7 and 8. -- ED shall revise Item 12 to ask if the students have ever taken the College Board Achievement tests. Since the probability of using these test scores to break a tie in this competition is extremely low, askin all students to report their scores provides information that in most circumstances will not be used by ED.
