Abstract: OWNERS/OPERATORS OF HAZARDOUS WASTE TREATMENT, STORAGE, AND DISPOSAL FACILITIES ARE REQUIRED TO MAINTAIN RECORDS ON TYPES OF WASTES TREATED, STORED, OR DISPOSED OF, OPERATING METHODS, LOCATION, DESIGN, AND CONSTRUCTION OF FACILITIES, CONTINGENCY PLANS, AND MAINTENANCE AND OPERATION OF FACILITIES. EPA USES THIS INFORMATION TO ENSURE THAT FACILITIES ARE PROPERLY HANDLING AND CARING FOR HAZARDOUS WASTES.
