Abstract: LITTLE IS KNOWN ABOUT PREVENTION AND CONTROL ACTIVITIES TAKEN AGAINST GANG MEMBER PROBATIONERS AND PAROLEES WHILE THEY ARE SERVING THEIR COMMUNITY-BASED SENTENCES. THIS SURVEY WILL PROVIDE PRACTICAL INFORMATION ABOUT EFFECTIVE GANG PREVENTION AND CONTROL PROGRAMS AND WILL BE COLLECTED FROM LOCAL AND STATE CORRECTIONAL OFFICIALS.
