Abstract: RULE 12A-5 PERMITS CERTAIN TEMPORARY EXEMPTIONS FROM THE GENERAL REQUIREMENT THAT TRANSACTIONS CANNOT BE EFFECTED ON A NATIONAL SECURITIES EXCHANGE UNLESS THE SECURITY IS REGISTERED ON THAT EXCHANGE THE RULE APPLIES TO ADDITIONAL SECURITIES OF THE SAME OR SUBSTITUTED SECURITIES. FORM 26 IS USED BY AN EXCHANGE TO NOTIFY THE COMMISSION OF ITS USE OF RULE 12A-5.
