Terms of Clearance: This information collection is approved through 12-94 under the following conditions: OMB recommends that ACF reevaluate their need for all of the information presently required in the system, especiall with respect to Cohort 1. As ACF notes the programs in these sites vary extensively. Having collected consistent information on these programs since 1991, ACF should examine the data to see whether the right balance has been achieved between data needed for purposes of th site specific evaluation and data appropriate for across site comparisons. It may be appropriateto eliminate some of the present data requirements that are not relevant to a site's specific focus an do not support useful comparison. Upon the next submission, ACF will examine the data by site and make recommendations for a more tailored collection. ACF will also collapse family and group day care; and Day Care Center and Infant Preschool programs, into single data elemen respectively. In addition ACF may want to consider adding an element for In-home care, where the provider comes to the child's home.
