Abstract: THE INFORMATIONAL REQUIREMENTS IN THE PROPOSED REGULATIONS ARE NEEDED TO ENABLE GNMA TO PROPERLY SCREEN NEW APPLICANTS, APPROVE COMMITMENT REQUESTS, AND DETERMINE CONTINUING ISSUER ELIGIBILITY. THE AFFECTED PARTIES ARE THE 750 GNMA-APPROVED ISSUERS IN THE MORTGAGE-BACKED SECURITIES PROGRAM AND NEW ISSUER APPLICANTS.
