Abstract: INTERSTATE DRIVERS ARE REQUIRED TO HAVE IN THEIR POSSESSION A MEDICAL EXAMINER'S CERTIFICATE AND/OR WAIVER. MOTOR CARRIERS ARE REQUIRED TO MAINTAIN COPIES IN DRIVER QUALIFICATION FILES. THE POSSESSION AND RECORDKEEPING REQUIREMENTS ARE NEEDED BY FHWA TO DETERMINE COMPLIANCE. MEDICAL CONFLICTS MAY BE SUBMITTED TO FHWA FOR RESOLUTION.
