Abstract: ASHARA MANDATED THAT EPA REVISE ITS ASBESTOS MODEL ACCREDITATION PLAN (MAP) FOR STATES TO INCREASE TRAINING REQUIREMENTS AND EXTEND.... REQUIRES THAT STATE PROGRAMS AND TRAINING COURSES APPROVED UNDER THE OLD MAP REAPPLY FOR APPROVAL UNDER THE NEW MAP AND WILL ALSO IMPOSE NE RECORDKEEPING ON TRAINING PROVIDERS TO ENABLE COMPLIANCE MONITORING.
