Abstract: THE NATIONAL EVALUATION OF THE HOPE FOR ELDERLY INDEPENDENCE DEMONSTRATION WILL TEST THE EFFECTIVENESS OF COMBINING HOUSING WITH SUPPORTIVE SERVICES TO ASSIST FRAIL ELDERLY PERSONS TO CONTINUE TO LIVE INDEPENDENTLY. ALSO, THE EVALUATION WILL DOCUMENT HOW GRANTEES HAVE IMPLEMENTED THEIR DEMONSTRATIONS. RESPONDENTS WILL INCLUDE FRAIL ELDERLY INDIVIDUALS AND STATE AND LOCAL HOUSING AGENCY REPRESENTATIVES
