Abstract: FISHERS WANTING TO CONDUCT EXPERIMENTAL FISHING OFF WASHINGTON, OREGON AND CALIFORNIA MUST APPLY FOR A PERMIT AND FILE REPORTS ON THE RESULTS OF THE EXPERIMENT. LIMITED ENTRY PERMITS MUST BE RENEWED ANNUALLY TO REMAIN VALID. THE PERMITS MAY ALSO BE LEASED OR SOLD (TRANSFERRED), A ANY TRANSFER MUST BE REPORTED. THIS INFORMATION IS NECESSARY FOR ORDERLY MANAGEMENT OF THE GROUNDFISH FISHERY.
