Abstract: THE SAP WILL PROVIDE NATIONALLY REPRESENTATIVE DATA ON SUPERVISION STATUS, DEMOGRAPHIC CHARACTERISTICS, OFFENSES, CURRENT SUPERVISION, AN PRIOR SENTENCES, AND FOR THE LARGEST JURISDICTIONS, IN-DEPTH DATA ON ALCOHOL AND DRUG USE TREATMENT, CURRENT SUPERVISION, AND SOCIAL BACKGROUND. DATA WILL BE USED BY POLICYMAKERS, PRACTITIONERS, RESEARCHERS, AND STATE AND LOCAL PROBATION AGENCIES.
