Abstract: TO ENSURE THAT THE RATE REGULATION REQUIREMENTS SET FORTH IN THE 1992 CABLE ACT ARE CARRIED OUT, THE COMMISSION ADOPTED SECTION 76.924 TO SPECIFY COST ACCOUNTING AND COST ALLOCATION REQUIREMENTS. THE COST ACCOUNTING AND COST ALLOCATION REQUIREMENTS ARE NECESSARY IN ORDER TO ASSURE THAT COSTS THAT ARE INTENDED TO RECEIVE EXTERNAL TREATMENT ARE IN FACT ACCORDED SUCH TREATMENT.
