Abstract: MUCH OF THE INFORMATION AVAILABLE TO NHTSA UPON WHICH TO BASE PROGRAMMATIC DECISIONS IS OUTDATED. THIS SURVEY WILL ADDRESS THAT GAP BY COLLECTING NEW DATA ON PUBLIC ATTITUDES, KNOWLEDGE, AND BEHAVIOR IN OCCUPANT PROTECTION AREAS. THE DATA WILL BE ANALYZED TO DETERMINE APPROPRIATE EMPHASES FOR FUTURE COUNTERMEASURE ACTIVITY.
