Abstract: SECTION 76.916 PROVIDES THAT A FRANCHISE AUTHORITY WISHING TO ASSUME JURISDICTION TO REGULATE BASIC SERVICE AND ASSOCIATED EQUIPMENT RATES AFTER ITS REQUEST FOR CERTIFICATION HAS BEEN DENIED OR REVOKED MUST FILE A PETITION FOR RECERTIFICATION. THE DATA WILL BE USED BY FCC TO ENSURE THAT A FRANCHISING AUTHORITY MEETS THE ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA SET
