Abstract: THIS SURVEY IS THE ONLY ANNUAL SOURCE OF DATA FOR THE UNIVERSE OF EMPLOYER FIRMS PROVIDING FOR-HIRE TRUCKING AND WAREHOUSING SERVICES, WATER TRANSPORTATION, AND CHARTER, RURAL, AND INTERCITY BUS OPERATIONS THESE DATA ARE USED BY THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT FOR COMPILING THE NATION ACCOUNTS AND BY PRIVATE INDUSTRY FOR MARKETING ANALYSIS.
