Abstract: EIA-897 WILL BE USED AS A RESEARCH STUDY OF FUEL PURCHASE DIARIES. DATA WILL BE COLLECTED FOR A ONE-MONTH PERIOD ON ODOMETER READINGS AND FUEL GUAGE READINGS AT THE BEGINNING AND END OF THE MONTH ALONG WITH FUEL PURCHASES DURING THE MONTH. RESPONDENTS WILL BE SELECTED FROM THE RESIDENTIAL ENERGY CONSUMPTION SURVEY HOUSEHOLDS.
