Schedule A-R is approved for use through 03/95. In the interest of
efficiently implementing the Retirement Protection Act of 1994
(RPA) and minimizing confusion to the respondent public, OMB
reviewed this information collection on an emergency basis. To
facilitate future implementation of the RPA, no later than 01/95,
PBGC should meet with OMB to: 1) outline future steps in RPA
implementation; and 2) mutually agree upon a timeframe for public
comment and OMB review consistent with the mandates of the
Paperwork Reduction Act.

MANDATE PBGC COLLECTION OF PREMIUMS FROM PBGC-INSURED PENSION
PLANS. 29 CFR PART 2610 REQUIRES THAT PLAN ADMINISTRATORS FILE PBGC
PREMIUM FORMS WITH THEIR PREMIUMS AND RETAIN COMPUTATION RECORDS.
THE FORMS IDENTIFY PAYERS AND LET PBGC VERIFY COMPUTATIONS AND
PERFORM AUDITS. THE RECORDS FACILITATE AUDITS.
