THE DEPARTMENT OF LABOR WILL USE THIS INFORMATION TO HELP UNDERSTAND A EXPLAIN THE EMPLOYMENT ACTIVITIES, UNEMPLOYMENT PROBLEMS, AND RETIREME DECISIONS OF WOMEN. THE MATURE WOMEN CURRENTLY ARE AGES 58-72 AND THE YOUNG WOMEN ARE AGES 41-51. THEY WERE FIRST INTERVIEWED FOR THE NLS I 1967 AND 1968, RESPECTIVELY.
