Abstract: THIS DATA COLLECTION IS TO PROVIDE HUD WITH A BASELINE FOR THE LONGITUDINAL EVALUATION OF THE IMPACTS OF HOPE VI. THIS SURVEY IS NECESSARY BECAUSE IT IS THE ONLY RELIABLE SOURCE OF RESIDENT SATISFACTION, VICTIMIZATION EXPERIENCE, PERCEPTIONS OF SAFETY, BUILDING MANAGEMENT, PARTICIPATION IN COMMUNITY SERVICE, AND SUPPORTIVE SERVICE NEEDS OF RESIDENTS LIVING IN THE DISTRESSED HOPE VI SITES.
