Abstract: Section 76.982 provides that franchise authorities who were regulating basic cable rates pursuant to a rate agreement executed before July 1, 1990, may continue to regulate rates during the remainder of the agreement after notification to the FCC that it intends to do so. This notification will give FCC information needed to assess impact of new regulatory scheme.
