Abstract: THE DEPARTMENT OF COMMERCE IS CONDUCTING A CUSTOMER SURVEY ON THE TYPE AND USE OF FOREIGN SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH RESULTS AND TECHNOLOGY DEVELOPMENTS. THE PURPOSE OF THIS SURVEY IS TO DETERMINE HOW BEST TO MEET THE FOREIGN SCIENTIFIC AND TECHNICAL INFORMATION NEEDS OF U.S. BUSINESS AND INDUSTRY THROUGH GAINING A BETTER UNDERSTANDING OF HOW U.S. FIRMS USE SUCH INFORMATION. CONCENTRATION IS ON SMALL AND MEDIUM COMPANIES.
