THE MINERALS MANAGEMENT SERVICE IS
AMENDING REGULATIONS AT 30 CFR 206 IN ORDER TO CORRECT PROBLEMS
WITH THE ADMINISTRATION OF ALLOWANCE REGULATIONS. THE AMENDED
REGULATIONS INCLUDE A NEW FORM TO BE USED BY COAL COMPANIES TO
NOTIFY MMS THAT THEY INTEND TO TAKE TRANSPORTATION AND WASHING
ALLOWANCES. THE NEW FORM WILL PROVIDE INFORMATION CURRENTLY
SUBMITTED AS PART OF TWO OTHER FORMS.
On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that
the collection of information encompassed by this request complies
with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR
1320.8(b)(3).
