Abstract: IPEDS PROVIDES INFORMATION ON POSTSECONDARY EDUCATION--ITS PROVIDERS, ENROLLMENTS, COMPLETIONS (BY PROGRAM AND RACE/ETHNICITY OF RECIPIENTS), FINANCES, SALARIES OF FULL-TIME INSTRUCTIONAL FACULTY, NUMBERS OF STAFF, AND INFORMATION ON LIBRARIES. DATA ARE USED TO CREATE SAMPLING FRAMES FOR OTHER SURVEYS, TO CONDUCT INSTITUTIONAL RESEARCH, AND TO CARRY OUT MANDATES FOR CENSUS, OFFICE FOR CIVIL RIGHTS, EEOC, AND THE DEPARTMENT OF ED.
