Abstract: SECTIONS 515 AND 516 OF PUBLIC LAW 95-87 PROVIDE THAT PERMITTEES CONDUCTING SURFACE MINING OPERATIONS WITH UNDERGROUND MINE ACTIVITIES SHALL MEET APPLICABLE PERFORMANCE STANDARDS OF THE ACT.
