Approved through
June 1996 to allow for public comment on the information collection
provisions contained in 29 CFR 1910.120, the Hazardous Waste
Operations and Emergency Response regulation, under the procedures
of the new Paperwork Reduction Act. Given the substantial burden
imposed by this regulation, DOL will solicit comment on ways that
the information collection provisions could be revised or
implemented differently to reduce burden while still achieving the
purposes of the rule. As required by the new PRA, DOL will include
a summary of public comments received as part of the record
supporting its request for PRA clearance to OMB, in sufficient time
to allow action prior to the expiration date of June 1996.
