Terms of Clearance: This ICR to survey Lake Ontario area residents and leaders is withdrawn per Matt leopard on September 28, 1995. EPA may resub- mit this ICR using the 1995 PRA procedures. EPA should consider the results from the Canadian counterpart survey and the Report evaluating the survey and make appropriate changes before resub- mitting any survey. In addition, EPA should work to make the questions unambiguous to avoid different interpretations of the meanings by the various respondents. OMB stands ready to work with EPA to develop a pilot survey.

Abstract: Selected New York residents near Lake Ontario and key leaders among business, education, government, and nonprofits will receive a questionnaire requesting data concerning environmental stewardship motivators, intentions, behaviors, and barriers. Results will be used to identify cost-effective indicators of progress toward the Lake Ontario ecosystem objective for stewardship.
