Abstract: The 1996 AHS-MS is a longitudnal study that collects current information on the quality, availability, and cost of housing in 12 selected metropolitan areas. It also provides information on demographic and other characteristics of the occupants. Federal and local authorities use AHS data to evaluate housing issues.
