Terms of Clearance: This collection is approved under the following conditions: (1) ED agrees to provide OMB a cost-breakout of the sample study and the previous, in-depth study; (2) ED agrees to continue to provide program directors sufficient training and assistance to ensure that tests are administered to the appropriate individuals and that, in the case of the adult assessment, sufficient numbers of each test are administered; and (3) ED agrees to examine information obtained through the ESIS as well as through Even Start grantee annual reports in order to identify any areas of duplication and potential ways to consolidate and share existing information (e.g. information from ESIS may be a good and more reliable substitute than information currently collected through the annual reports).
