Abstract: The National Task Force on AIDS Drug Development has identified inadequate levels of private sector activity in HIV/AIDS drug discovery targeting the hum immunodeficiency virus (HIV) on a molecular level as a significant obstacle to the development of new therapies. The Public Health Service is conducting this survey to determine the extent of private sector activity, and obstacles to collaboration.
