This survey of 1,000 public and 1,000 private elementary and secondary schools was requested by the Special Advisor on Education Technology and the Office of Non-Public Education in the U.S. Department of Education. The purpose of the survey is to collect current information on advanced telecommunications in all schools, K-12, findings from the survey will be presented at Senate hearing scheduled near the end of March 1996. The information is intended for use in budgetary decisions on the Hill.
