Abstract: Dealer reporting is needed to obtain fishery dependent data on the landings and purchase of fish and shellfish to monitor, evaluate, and enforce fishery regulations; collect basic fisheries statistics (species, pounds, and value); and to collect certain effort information for economic and biological assessment of the stocks.
