collections associated with the Federal Tax Refund Offset Program
included in this package are approved through 9/30/96. All
information collections associated with the Salary Offset Program
are not approved at this time. FCS must first provide the general
public notice and opportunity to comment on the information
collection requirements associated with salary offset, in
accordance with the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995, before
resubmitting the package to OMB.

State agencies must provide and use
certain information from FNS, the Internal Revenue Service, and
debtors to collect food stamp recipient claims from Federal income
tax refunds. The affected public is individuals owing food stamp
recipient claims.
