Abstract: The survey will obtain annual sample data on transactions between U.S. insurance companies or groups and foreign persons. The information gathered is needed, among other purposes, to support U.S. trade policy initiatives, including trade negotiations, and to compile the U.S. balance of payments and the national income and produce accounts.
