Abstract: The amendments to the Quote Rule would require broker-dealers or third market makers, which account for more than 1% of the volume in a listed security to quote to the public any superior prices they privately quote through electronics communications networks. The amendments will affect third markers and broker-dealers. The information gathered will be used to facilitate best execution of trades for investors.
