FCC shall
evaluate collection to determine the cost the Cable TV industry
bears by using contractors to perform these tests, particularly the
proof-of-performance tests required by Section 76.601(c). This
collection includes the third party notification requirement that
local franchise authorities must meet.

Section 76.601 requires every cable
system operator to maintain a current listing of the cable
television channels which that system delivers to its subscribers.
Section 76.601(c) and (d) require cable systems with 1,000
subscribers to conduct semi-annual proof of performance tests and
triennial proof of performance tests for color testing.
