Terms of Clearance: OMB does not approve this information collection associated with the NPRM, "Powered Industrial Truck Operator Training," 29 CFR Part 1926. The NPRM is a follow-up to a parallel proposal to regulate truck operator training in the general and maritime industries that was published in the Federal Register on March 14, 1995. OMB is concerned about the utility and burden of the training requirements being placed on the private sector. When the package is re-submitted for approval, the agency will address OMB's concerns and any public comments received on these issues in the preamble of the rule and in the paperwork package.
