Abstract: Collects data at crime scenes (e.g., unsolved murders) for analysis by FBI VICAP staff. Law enforcement agencies reporting similar pattern crimes will be provided with information to initiate a coordinated multiagency investigation to expedite the identification and apprehension of criminal offenders (e.g., serial murderers) responsible for the deaths of many innocent victims.
