OMB approves the package contingent upon the National Center on Education Statistics' (in the Department of Education) review of the information collection proposed by NSF. NSF shall provide a summary of NCES's findings to OMB, making any necessary changes, and re-submit the package to OMB as an addendum to this clearance package prior to initiating the study. Also, OMB approves the package contingent upon NSF's explicit recognition that this study design does not allow for extrapolation to the national level and that it is a case study of 20 separate institutions. All of these conditions, plus additional changes, are described in the correspondences from May 8, 9, and 10, 1996.
