Terms of Clearance: This collection is approved as amended by ED's revisions of 5/30/96 and 6/5/96 and on the following conditions. (1) There is no appropriation for the Workplace Literacy Program and ED agrees that it will not conduct a competition this year. (2) Before OVAE runs a competition for the State Program Analysis Assistance and Policy Studies Program, it will provide OMB an explanation as to how this program will be coordinated with evaluation studies launched by PES and OERI's Research Center on Adult Literacy. (3) Clearance for this package does not include the National Network for Curriculum Coordination Program. If ED chooses to run a competition under this program, ED agrees to discuss with OMB the selection criteria that will be used and to coordinate the administration of this program with other similar programs in the Department. (4) Clearance for this package does not include programs currently pending in Congress that have not been enacted at this time. If these programs are passed, ED will amend its clearance package at that time. (6) ED agrees to provide OMB information summarizing the final reports submitted by grantees under the Life Skills for State and Local Prisoners Program.
