In the declaratory ruling issued in
RM-8181, the Commission requires that local exchange carriers,
among other things, notify their customers of the change in status
of inmate-only customer premises equipment (CPE). This is necessary
to ensure that correctional facility customers are aware of change
in regulatory status of inmate-only pay phones.
On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that
the collection of information encompassed by this request complies
with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR
1320.8(b)(3).
