The Benefits Accuracy Measurement
(BAM) program provides reliable estimates of the accuracy of
benefit payments in the UI program and identifies the sources of
mispayments so that their causes can be eliminated. This proposes
extending the BAM program for 3 years while reducing average sample
sizes and permitting States more flexibility in how they verify
information pertinent to the sampled payments.
On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that
the collection of information encompassed by this request complies
with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR
1320.8(b)(3).
