The International Labor Affairs Bureau
requires the information requested to comply with a congressional
mandate to complete a report on child labor. The report must
include an examination of the top 20 importers of garments, their
contractors and subcontractors, and their codes of conduct
regarding the use of child labor in the production of garments
imported into the United States. Respondents are U.S. retailers and
manufacturers of garments.
On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that
the collection of information encompassed by this request complies
with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR
1320.8(b)(3).
