This form is
approved for one year. It's approval is conditioned with the
following, it must displays a Paperwork Reduction Act Statement
which tells the respondent the estimated time to fill out the
appliction, in this case three hours. It must also inform the
respondendt that a person is not required to respond to a
collection of information unless it displays a valid OMB control
number. In addition, the Peace Corps should explore the use of
information technology to reduce the paperwork burden associated
with this collection and to improve its recruiting process. Some
initial ideas is a website where applicants could download the ap
plication form and send in a hard copy, and/or a disc with the
application form on it so that respondents can use a computer to
fill out the application instead of a typewriter.
