This project will examine the
relationship between juvenile delinquency and gang and nongang
group affiliation of Southeast Asian refugee youths. The social,
historical and environmental antecedents of criminal behavior in
the context of groups will be studied. This knowledge is essential
in developing effective community-based intervention strategies to
reduce juvenile de- linquency among Southeast Asian
youths.
On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that
