The Agency requests a 3-year approval
for the information collection requirements contained in the final
rule addressing training, certification, accreditation, and
standards for lead-based paint (LBP) activities in target housing
and child-occupied facilities (hereafter, the "training rule"). The
Agency is promulgating this rule pursuant to section 402 and
section 404 of TSCA. Section 404 allows any State that seeks to
administer and enforce standards and regulations comparable to
those developed under section 402 to submit an application to EPA
for authorization of a State Program.
On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that
the collection of information encompassed by this request complies
with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR
1320.8(b)(3).
